Break time

Hey everyone,

Just posting this up here to let you all know that this blog will be inactive for quite a while. How long I cannot say.

I’m simply going on a break as I’m finding it harder to both maintain and come up with ideas for posts lately.

Maybe my time away from the blog will help recharge those batteries.

Thanks,

Mohit

5 Things They Wont Tell You About Following Dreams

Reblogged from the Alternate Dimension blog.

Alternate Dimension

jonathan-swift-art-quotes-vision-is-the-art-of-seeing-what-is

A visionary is a person with original ideas about what the future will or could be like. It is an individual who think about or plan life with imagination or wisdom.

Nobody sees what you see because your vision was given to you and you only.

Are you trying to achieve goals you have set for yourself?

Here are 5 Things They Wont Tell You About Following Dreams.

1. You are never too old or young

It ain’t a secret but we still make it be a barrier.

Don’t let anyone stigmatized you because of your age.

2. Dreams are hard to follow and achieve

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

3. You will get discouraged and lost sometimes

Depression Tips Friday

Tip: Find the source of your depression.

Depression sometimes happens for a reason, while at other times it just happens. Those that go through depression for a reason have an opportunity to discover that reason. If you know the cause, then it becomes easier to accept your situation and work your way through it. It certainly is better than not knowing why you are depressed, why you feel this way yet still be forced to do your best in finding the strength to move on even if you ever had the chance to find out the why.

Discovering the reasons behind your depression can be a long process. Depending on the type of person you are, it can either be great, or something trivial to know. What matters most here is to do something to help you accept your situation and grant you some light on your passageway out of depression.

Keep your chin up, be positive :).

Music for the Depressed Soul

More often than not, music is considered to be food for the soul. Music just has this trans-formative power to change our mood, change our feelings and change our thoughts. It is even more effective if you are a dancer of sorts. Moving your body with the musical rhythm can have an even greater impact on the mind and body versus just listening to it.

From personal experience, I find great comfort in music, especially during the times I am/was depressed. Maybe you may feel the same, maybe you may feel differently about music, but below I leave you with two music videos links for your enjoyment.

This one has helped give me a lot of inspiration and mental push during my tough times:

Joji – Medicine

This one more or less resonates so well with me due to the lyrics, as well as the strong beat:

Naitomea – Q

What is your favorite piece of music to help you ride out your bad times?

Depression Tips Friday

Tip: Visit friends or a new location

Even though you may not feel like being very social, or simply may not want to get out of the house. Sometimes forcing ourselves outside to visit friends or even a brand new place can be healthy for our minds. Visiting friends and talking to them can help lighten your mood, visiting a new location can help bring a sense of adventure and curiosity in you.

You may not want to do these things initially, but if you can push yourself past the initial stages, sooner or later the momentum will take over doing the rest :).

Keep your chin up, be positive :).

Depression Tips Friday

Tip: Join a support group (or make your own).

Sometimes our depression can be too much for us to handle on our own. Asking the aid of others may lead to various different techniques and solutions to try. One of which maybe joining a support group. In a support group you will be around others who are also dealing with depression. You will be around individuals who best understand it and are trying to overcome it together.

Alternatively, if you know how, you can always go about creating your own support group as well.

Keep your chin up, be positive :).
