Tip: Do something new.
When we are depressed, we tend to be in these cyclic thought process of negativity. Sometimes doing something new and different can help break that cycle. It is very important to be able to break out of that cycle should you want to have a chance at getting better.
Maybe go out and visit a place you haven’t yet near your area. Go out to watch a random movie, volunteer for something meaningful, learn something new or take a book to read on a park bench. Doing something new, experiencing new things can also help give a feeling of accomplishment and a sense of moving forward. Such feelings will release positive emotions, something that is desperately needed when afflicted by negative thoughts.
Keep your chin up, be positive :).
